STING mobile application for real estate agents

Introduction

Real estate agents spend most of their time in the field – meeting clients, showing properties or negotiating terms. Access to up-to-date information about deals, clients and commissions is therefore essential for working effectively.

To support agents' everyday work we developed the STING mobile application, part of the internal information ecosystem of the Sting company. The app gives agents an overview of their business activities and lets them manage key information directly from a mobile device.

The goal of the project was to create a tool that lets real estate agents work with their data anytime and anywhere, without needing access to internal office systems.

Project goals

When designing the application we focused on creating a mobile solution that:

  • gives agents instant access to important business information
  • enables managing contacts and client relationships
  • offers an overview of current property listings
  • shows information about commissions, rewards and invoicing
  • provides an overview of the agent's personal performance

The application was designed as part of the company's broader internal system, with which it is fully integrated.

From a mobile app to the network's digital backbone

The collaboration started with a mobile app but gradually grew into the complete digital ecosystem of the real-estate network: a web application for agents, a back office for the internal team and a mobile app for iOS and Android — all on top of a shared API.

  • CRM — leads, clients, deals and the relationships between them
  • commissions, rewards and invoicing, including multi-company splits for franchises
  • handover documents with electronic signature
  • education and courses with push notifications
  • calculators and personal performance statistics

Architecture and quality

The backend consists of three Laravel microservices designed around domain-driven design, data lives in MariaDB and full-text search is powered by Typesense. The frontends are built in Angular, the mobile app in Ionic/Capacitor. Authentication uses OAuth2 with two-factor verification.

  • automated tests, static analysis and AI code review on every pull request
  • monitoring via Sentry including session replay
  • CI/CD deploying to multiple environments

Results

The strongest proof is the growth of the collaboration itself: from 32 hours a month (October 2024) to roughly 420 hours a month (2026). The STING network now runs on the platform — from the first lead through the deal to commission calculation.
