LuckyKids – a platform for families with children

Introduction

LuckyKids is our own project focused on families with children. Its goal is to make it easier for parents to plan free time and discover interesting places and activities suitable for kids. The platform offers an extensive database of trip destinations, family attractions and activities that can easily be searched by location, children's age or type of experience.

LuckyKids was created as a combination of a technology platform and a content project. It is designed to connect information about family activities, provide trip inspiration and at the same time use modern technologies, including AI integration, to improve the user experience.

Technologically, the system is built on a Laravel backend, a React frontend application, a content layer based on WordPress, and a cross-platform mobile app for Android and iOS.

Project vision

The core idea of LuckyKids is to create a digital platform that helps families:

• easily find interesting places for trips
• discover new activities for children
• plan a family programme according to children's ages and preferences
• share trip and experience inspiration

The platform responds to parents' real needs – quickly finding a suitable trip, learning the important details about a place and deciding whether an activity fits their family.

Database of activities and destinations

The foundation of the project is an extensive database of places and activities suitable for families with children, including for example:

• trip destinations in nature
• playgrounds and parks
• zoos and amusement parks
• child-friendly museums
• interactive centres
• family cultural and sports events

Each place includes detailed information such as an activity description, suitable age range, location and accessibility, photos and visiting tips. This structured data makes searching and filtering by various criteria easy.
